After another day working in the castle, Gwen heads home for some much needed rest. But when she enters her humble home, she is attacked and kidnapped by unknown assailants, taken to the Castle of Fyrien. Here Cenred and Morgause have captured Gwen’s brother Elyan, hoping to use Gwen’s relationship with Arthur as leverage to lead the young prince into a trap. Cenred offers Gwen one week to bring Arthur to him or he will torture and kill Elyan in front of her. With Arthur dead, Morgana will be named heir to Camelot and Cenred will have a powerful ally when she becomes queen. At least, that’s what Morgause promises her lapdog. (more…)
Before the sidhe’s first attempt on Arthur’s life with the outcasts trying to redeem themselves by bringing Arthur as a sacrifice, the sidhe master enchanted an unsuspecting baby named Elena. She grew into an awkward, unlady-like young woman with the assistance of her personal nanny-slash-maid servant Grunhilda. Elena and her father, Lord Godwyn, arrive at the castle in Camelot with the fathers hoping to arrange a marriage between the two youngsters. The Crystal Cave
This week’s episode of Merlin opens with our favourite duo running on foot from a gang of bandits they stumbled upon during patrol. Arthur leads them into the Valley of the Fallen Kings, assuring Merlin the bandits will not follow them as this area of the woods is said to be cursed. The legend doesn’t stop them though, and eventually Arthur takes an arrow to the back. (more…)

Gwaine, Future Knight of the Round Table
After a wonderful afternoon of hunting, Arthur and Merlin happen upon a small village in search of a bit of refreshment. Trouble does not take long to find them as the local thug comes to bully money from the tavern-keeper. Arthur gets up to defend her against the thug when Merlin opens his mouth to say something witty, which the thug replies to with his crew entering the mix. A proper bar fight commences, with a brave young man saving Arthur in the process. (more…)
