MyGamerCard Says Farewell
This morning I turned on my computer, loaded up Firefox and was shocked to see a green R.I.P. message in the box where my Xbox Live Gamercard belonged. It was with a heavy heart that I clicked on it and was taken to the MyGamerCard website, and it was weighted down even further as I read Morgon’s goodbye to the community that was no more. (more…)

In an attempt to work through some of the games collecting dust in my backlog, I cracked open Condemned: Criminal Origins last week, promising that I would get at least one of these cleared out before I lose all track of time with Dragon Age 2 and Patapon 3. Condemned was one of the first titles released for the 360 so I knew I might have to be a tad more patient with it than I normally am. I pushed past the obvious first generation game issues and discovered there was a pretty decent game to be enjoyed under that M rating label. (more…)
Sailor Moon holds a special place in the hearts of millions of girls all over the world, mine included. Naoko Takeuchi created the ultimate magical girls manga, which became an anime spanning 200 episodes and a few movies. It is the ultimate guilty pleasure for girls and guys alike. Alongside Dragon Ball Z, the Sailor Scouts helped popularize Japanese animation throughout the globe.
Turning it into a live action program was the obvious next step. (more…)
My growing love for puzzle games took a major leap forward when MumboJumbo sent 7 Wonders 2 my way. A DS port of a popular PC game, gamers manipulate the various icons in the columns to create blocks of three or more, Bejeweled-style, creating building stones for the loyal workers around the world who will transform them into works of architectural wonders. I love games. And because I love games so much my wallet (or now more accurately, my husband’s wallet) takes a hit at least once a month if not more, all in the name of investing my time wisely.
This year will be no different from the last who knows how many years since I started buying games with my own money. We all know all the headlining triple A titles will come out in the Fall as part of the Holiday sales push, our summer will be relatively quite, with a few A and AA releases to interrupt our plans of clearing up our backlogs. Every year is the same, a pattern we have come to know, accept, and still grumble about.

Impressed with the first part of DeathSpank’s tale, I made sure to pick up the second installment before I stole Lord Von Prong’s Thong. It was a smart move because I immediately began playing Thongs of Virtue. Damn Hothead and their addictive game. Damn that Sandy and her womanly woman-ness! (more…)
