Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (Live Action)

Sailor Moon holds a special place in the hearts of millions of girls all over the world, mine included. Naoko Takeuchi created the ultimate magical girls manga, which became an anime spanning 200 episodes and a few movies. It is the ultimate guilty pleasure for girls and guys alike. Alongside Dragon Ball Z, the Sailor Scouts helped popularize Japanese animation throughout the globe.
Turning it into a live action program was the obvious next step. (more…)

Juui Dolittle
The veterinarians of Japan see themselves as years behind in the animal medicine practice compared to their American and European counterparts. Most doctors find themselves unable to specialize in one particular area of their art but there are some among them who want to change that. Tottori-sensei might be the rudest vet in Tokyo, seemingly only in it for the money, but his skills in the operating room are unrivaled. His classmate, Hanabishi Masaru has a small chain of animal clinics and hosts Pet 1-1-9, a TV program aimed at educating pet owners. (more…)

Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku
Second generation actor Kusunoki Taiga (played by Matsumoto Jun) has always lived in the shadow of his father, long time star of one of Japan’s most popular TV dramas. When his father Kotaro suddenly passes away, Taiga sets out to make a name for himself, auditioning for more roles and trying to get away from the variety shows he appears on regularly. My Meri Kurisumasu Soundtrack
‘Tis the season of trees, tinsel and trying to find a spot that isn’t at the furthest end of the mall parking lot. It is also the only time of the year I can vaguely tolerate anything that has to deal with snow. While I bake my shortbread cookies, rum balls and Irish Cream fudge and avoid the drizzly outdoors of Atlanta (which I prefer to the harsh Calgary winters), I like to crank up my favourite Japanese Christmas songs and discover new additions for my growing annual playlist. Untouchable
Once a reporter at one of the best newspapers in Japan, Narumi Ryoko now works for a third rate tabloid newspaper with a bad reputation. But Ryoko doesn’t plan on writing trash. When an anonymous fax comes to the Untouchable Weekly office, Ryoko sees this as an opportunity to get back in the game and reclaim her former position.
